As Canada's second busiest airport, YVR served some 16.4 million passengers (including same plane transit), approximately 223,700 tons of cargo and 278,500 take-offs and landings in 2005. YVR is, indeed, the second largest international passenger gateway on the West Coast of North America. YVR is in operation 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, including round-the-clock customs and runway operations. Public transportation, taxis, limos, shuttles, car rentals and driving directions - everything you need to know to get to and from Vancouver, the Lower Mainland, Victoria and Whistler.

The Airport Station Bus Terminal is origin of bus service to Vancouver, Richmond and elsewhere in Greater Vancouver area. It is located near the Delta Hotel. One should take note that Airport Station and the airport are connected by Bus Route #424. This route loads and unloads passengers at the Ground Level of the Domestic Terminal.

Other public transportation bus routes that served the Airport Station Bus Terminal are: The 98 B Line and Route #496 connect to downtown Vancouver, Route #620 connects to the BC Ferries in Tsawwassen, Route #100 connects to Vancouver and points east, Route #491 travels to Richmond and Steveston, Route #301 connects to Surrey/Newton, Route #C 92 connects to the Airport South Terminal while Route #C90 connects to the northern portion of Sea Island.

The bus stop of route #424 is located on Level 1 of the Domestic Terminal. The Customer Service Counters and at the Visitor Information Centers on the Arrivals Level of both terminals provide information on bus schedules and their destinations there.

Fares depend on destinations and time of day. Exact change should be paid when boarding buses. A change machine is available in the Domestic Terminal located near the exit doors of the transit area. The 7-eleven convenience store and the Pharmasave pharmacy also sell bus tickets, these are both located in the Domestic Terminal. Bus service frequency and times vary depending on time of day, day of week or season.
